You Like Me! You Really Like Me! I Think….

Or maybe not.  I’m not really sure.  The reason I say all this is because not once, but TWICE last week, I got messages from the ultra cool, ultra hip Samantha at Dancing to the Finish Line AND super awesome sauce Kellie from Will Run for Ears.  Both of these amazing ladies nominated me for a Liebster Award!  Wicked awesome right?!  Except I had NO idea what it meant!!

And to be totally honest, I really don’t care what it means! I just think it’s ultra-awesomeness to know somebody is actually reading this ultra-silliness that spills out of my cranium with scary, scream inducing speed.

So without spending any more time smacking you up side the head with any more idiotic ultra references, let’s get to it!  There are rules to follow, and as I’m one to NEVER break the rules, (coughcoughcoughsneezecoughcoughcough)…sneeze?…here they are:

Liebster Rules

So without further adios (huh?), let’s get to it!

Samantha’s questions:

1.  Describe yourself in three words…ready, set, go!

stubborn, loyal, stubborn, (Oops, said that already, didn’t I?), spontaneous

2.  What is your most prized possession?

Oh, that’s a tough one.  Guess I’d have to say my engagement ring.  It’s a different style with three smaller diamonds instead of one big one.  When the hubby gave it to me he said each one stood for something different: him, me, and us.  Altogether now—–awwwwwwww!

3.  If you could only eat one food for the rest of eternity, what would it be?

(With no hesitation whatsoever) – Moose Tracks Ice Cream!  Yippee!!!!!  I’d weigh 500 pounds but at least every one would have tasted yummy goin’ in!

4.  What is your favorite quote and who is it from?

5.  Tea or coffee?

Tea!  Herbalife Herbal Tea Concentrate to be exact.  It make me very, very happy! 🙂  And hyper.  Like I really need any more of THAT!

6.  What is your ideal time to blog?

After I run, after I eat, before I shower.  I type faster if I stink.

7.  What is your favorite season and why?

Summer.  I really don’t have much choice.  I live in south Florida.  It’s only NOT summer for about 27 minutes a year.

8.  What race is on the top of your bucket list?

Boston Strong1‘Nuff said.

9.  If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you would do?

Scream.  Then quit my job.  Probably both at the same time.

10.  What is your favorite post that you’ve written and why?

I can’t narrow it down to just one, but probably my faves are this one because it was written from the heart, and this one, because it was the most personal I ever got on my blog.  Both posts came from deep down and I think they mean the most to me as I felt like I was going out on the proverbial limb, personal wise.

And Kellie’s questions:

1.  When/why did you start running?

Start number one was in high school when I joined the cross-country team.  I went, I ran, I sucked, I quit.  Start number two was when I moved to the Sunshine State and realized that everyone looked like they were all a size 2.  Talk about motivation!

2.  What accomplishment are you most proud of?

My first half marathon in 2007.  I’ve never been able to beat that time since, but I’m hoping to at this year’s Wine and Dine.  Or end up in the loony bin trying!

3.  If you could pick anyone (famous or otherwise) to be your race day pacer, who would it be and why?

Meb.  Or Shalane.  Do you REALLY have to ask?

4.  Disneyland or Walt Disney World?

I have to yet to head west, so this one is kind of a given.

5.  What would your theme song be?

Born to Run – Bruce Springsteen.  Always has been and always will be.

6.  What is your favorite movie?

Lion King

Hate the whole Dad dying thing, but the music and the ending gets to me every time.

7.  What is your favorite motivational quote or mantra?

Since I hit the quote part above, I’ll go with mantra this time.  And it isn’t really a mantra per se, but the name of a blog I stumbled across a few weeks ago – Shut Up and Run. It’s perfect!

8.  If you could be anything, what would you be?

Fast.  Or a professional ice cream taster.  See above reference to 500 pounds.

9.  Why did you start blogging?

If I didn’t, my head would explode.  Literally.  It would be a mess.  See why.

10.  What is your favorite thing about Disney?

I LOVE how I can just forget about everything outside the bubble that is Disney World and live completely in the moment – enjoying nothing more than the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes that are Disney, usually with the people I love the most.  Even if it’s just a for a little while, everything is right in my world, when I’m IN the World.

Now, since I ALWAYS follow the rules (huh?!?), here are just some of my faves.  In no particular order…

Hey! Hey you!

Hey! Hey you!

And now, for everyone listed above – Tag!  You’re it!

 Enjoy the ride.

How many of these questions have you had to answer so far?

  1. I will answer ASAP. But alas, my power converter here in Ireland has died and I myst conserve computer energy right now, until I can get a new one. 😉

  2. The title of your post totally cracked me up. The Liebster award seems to show up every spring….and it is always fun to see the answers of the various runners I follow. Good luck with your training this summer and hopefully a PR at Wine and Dine!

  3. I have done this before. So instead of doing a full post again I will answer a few here.
Ice cream is my food pyramid (whoops).
    Favorite dog breed is rescue.
I am scared of heights (true), cotton balls (no clue why), and ending up alone (way too honest).

  4. Thanks for the nomination! I just did a Leibster post a week or so ago, so I’m going to hang on to your questions and wait a few weeks before I do another!

P.S. I totally laughed at the answer to why you started to blog! Good luck with your training for Wine & Dine, I’ll be there again this year, I totally love that race (and it was my first ever!).

  5. I love the Liebster, just had one myself and they are so fun. I have no idea what Moose Tracks Icecream is, but I assume it is good?? I have been off coffee for 3 weeks and I don’t miss it. I have always loved tea. I am very happy I came across your site and am looking forward to reading more 🙂

    • Thanks for the blog love! And I’m happy to say that later in the year myself and Mr. Black Dog and company will be taking a wine country vacay. You think one glass a day will work, lol! Moose Tracks is vanilla ice cream with crunchy fudge pieces and mini peanut butter cups. Simply put, to die for!

Please let me know what you think!
